It is said that the government finalized
the blueprint of the next fiscal year’s national budget. According to the
information, the budget will be at total 96.9 trillion JPY (approximately 809
billion USD). Of coerce this is less than the US national budget. However, the
budget will be the record high in the history of Japan.
The reason the number is increased is
mainly because the expense of social security and the of public construction
works are both raised up by 0.9 trillion JPY. The social security is
understandable as the number of retired senior people are increasing year and
year. However, the expense for public construction works is too much than
needed.
We need to reduce such expenses more and
more to revive Japan’s healthy financial situation. PM Shinzo Abe are rushing into
the completely opposite direction. The Mass media are very silent on the issues
somehow. The construction related industries are welcome at the direction. But
I wonder the direction will lead to a bottomless swamp like mouse intoxicated
with the sound of “A pied piper of Hamelin”.
